What does it take to rent a car?
All you need to do to book your car is a credit or debit card. When you pick up the car you will need:
- The credit / debit card of the main driver, with enough cash available to guarantee the car.
- Every driver's driving license, which he has for at least 12 months (often 24).
- Your passport and any other identification document that the rental company needs to see.
How old do I have to be to rent a car?
The age limit is between 23 and 70 years. If you are under 25 or over 70 you will need to contact our company.
What is the minimum and maximum car rental period?
The minimum rental fee is the price of 1 day (24 hours). Therefore one can rent a car even for 1 hour but at the daily price. The maximum rental period is 31 days. After this period the vehicle must be returned to the offices of our company. Alternatively, our company provides the possibility of renting for a longer period with a price per month. What cars can I rent?
Guru Rent a Car gives you the opportunity to choose from a wide range of modern cars in each category. Vehicles with manual or automatic transmission, petrol or diesel and multi-seater with up to 9 seats are available. See some of our cars in our fleet list.
Can I travel outside Greece?
No. Guru Rent a Car vehicles are not allowed to cross the country borders.
Who else can drive the rental vehicle?
The rental car can be driven by up to 2 authorized drivers. The second driver can be declared at the time of booking or upon receipt of the vehicle. The second driver service is provided at an additional cost per day and includes the same insurance coverage as the main driver of the vehicle. Unregistered drivers are not covered by any insurance.
Why is a credit card required when renting?
The tenant must present a VISA, Master Card or American Express credit card as collateral, regardless of how the rent is paid. By signing the lease agreement, the amount of liability per category is committed to the credit card. If the vehicle is returned without damage, this amount is released in full. Otherwise the amount of the damage up to the total amount of liability is charged.
